Lighthouse Books

​Lighthouse is a great independent bookshop in Edinburgh. In their own words, they are ‘left leaning and politically engaged.’ The store is a lovely spot for bibliophiles, an oasis for curious minds and offers a mellow atmosphere to browse at your own pace. It’s stocked will all kinds of books, from politics, history, fiction and travel writing to Children’s books, tattoo art and cookery.

​Their whole range is really interesting and it’s easy to fall in love with Edinburgh’s radical bookshop. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful in recommending new and exciting books. It’s such an unique place: a fantastic politically-engaged, feminist bookshop in the heart of Edinburgh.
